Professional Experience:


Dr. Koller is President of e3 Company, a private consulting organization specializing in strategic management for the past 20 years. In addition to his work at e3, Dr. Koller retired in July 2007 as the Principal Investigator for SpaceTEC, the National Science Foundation National Center of Excellence for Aerospace Technical Education; Executive Director of Aerospace Programs for Brevard Community College in Florida; Executive Director of Community Colleges for Innovative Technology Transfer (CCITT), a national consortium of community colleges affiliated with NASA Field Centers and the Department of Defense; Executive Director of the National Association of Aerospace Technicians; and Executive Director of the Aerospace Technology Advisory Committee, Inc. (ATAC), an advisory group for the aerospace industry at Cape Canaveral and the Kennedy Space Center.


In the past, Dr. Koller has served as President and Dean of Instruction, Titusville Campus; Associate Vice President for International Education, and Dean of Institutional Advancement for Brevard Community College where he worked for 15 years. In addition, for five years he was Executive Director of Community Colleges for International Development (CCID), a consortium of colleges working in international education. His NASA career spanned more than 30 years as an engineer and program manager at the Kennedy Space Center. He has taught at several universities, consults for private and public organizations, and is nationally published in the technical and management fields, as well as international education. He was the 2001 recipient of the Florida Space Business Roundtable Explorer Award for his leadership in space-related education and has twice been featured in Florida Trend magazine.


Dr. Koller is the Founding Chair of the Brevard Nature Alliance; Founder and past Director of the Business Education Support Board; Past Board Chair and Director of the Titusville Area Chamber of Commerce; member of the Jess Parrish Medical Foundation Board of Directors; and past member of Titusville Sunrise Rotary Club where he was twice named Rotarian of the Year. His professional affiliations include the National Management Association, where he is credentialed as a Certified Professional Manager; the NASA Alumni League; the Merritt Island Wildlife Association; the National Space Club Florida Committee; the National Space Society; the Brevard County Civilian Military Community Relations Council; and life member of the Missile and Space Pioneers. His hobby is computers and he is the webmaster for the Titusville Computer Club.


Career Chronology:


2002 to 2007

Principal Investigator for the National Science Foundation’Äôs SpaceTEC National Center of Excellence for Aerospace Technical Education. Retired July 2007.


2000 to 2007

Executive Director, Aerospace Programs, Brevard Community College, responsible for aerospace and technician training programs for NASA, the Air Force, the Navy; their contractors, employees, and families. Executive Director, Community Colleges for Innovative Technology Transfer (CCITT). Retired July 2007.


1997 to 2000

Campus President, Brevard Community College at Titusville, responsible for the overall administration and operation of BCC’Äôs Titusville campus, as well as college wide activities for strategic planning, Banner software implementation, international programs, and support for Kennedy Space Center and Cape Canaveral Air Force Station.


1992 to 1997

Senior Administrator at Brevard Community College; Program Manager, Executive Director, Community Colleges for International Development. Responsible for international education programs, consortium operations and online technology.¬Ý¬Ý

1990 to 1992

NASA Senior Advisor to the Center Director, Kennedy Space Center, for design and implementation of a Total Quality Management System. Provided computer software for agency wide evaluation of TQM implementation and conducted field operations at all NASA centers. Developed the KSC Center wide application for the federal government President's Award.

1981 to 1990

NASA Chief of Biomedical Programs and Planning at Kennedy Space Center. Contract Technical Manager for the Life Sciences Support Contract. Environmental Health Officer and primary management consultant to the Director of Biomedical Operations and Research.


1976 to 1981

NASA Chief of Kennedy Space Center's Environmental Management Staff. Founded and directed the first formal environmental policy office at Kennedy Space. Developed the KSC Environmental Impact Statement for Space Shuttle and the KSC Resource Conservation and Recovery Act Program.

1972 to 1976

NASA Head of the Special Projects Office for KSC's Space Shuttle Program. Directed development of engineering requirements for Space Shuttle operations at KSC in meteorology and instrumentation. Developed KSC's Management Information System¬Ý for the KSC Shuttle Program Manager and the first Master Planning Schedule for KSC.


1959 to 1972NASA System Engineer and Technical Assistant to the KSC Launch Vehicle Operations Director. Served as part of the Debus/Von Braun team, providing primary management support for information systems management, launch and firing room activities for the Project Apollo Lunar Landing Program.


Teaching and Consulting:


1967 to 1992

Teaching and curriculum development for New York Institute of Technology NOVA program (now NOVA University); Florida Institute of Technology; the University of Central Florida; and Rollins College Brevard Campus.

1967 to 2007

President of the e3 Company, providing strategic management services including executive education and evaluation, writing, and private consulting in strategic planning and strategy deployment, teambuilding, management system design, and advanced technology deployment.
